See What’s On at the Glenesk Retreat and Folk Museum in May 2013

The Glenesk Retreat is a centre for the community of Glenesk, the east-most of the inspiring glens of Angus.  Originally built by a sea captain as a Retreat from the rigours of a sailor’s life, it is now the focal point of glen life and is home to a gift shop and art gallery, licensed restaurant and tearoom, party venue, conference facilities and community room.

Our purpose-built Folk Museum is dedicated to the heritage, history and culture of  Glenesk and focuses on the life of the rural community.

The Glenesk Retreat and Folk Museum is fully disabled visitor friendly, including a lift to the upper floor and Green Room, and the Archive room with scrapbooks of glen life.

The Glenesk Retreat and Folk Museum are owned by the community and run by local volunteers.
